Global Illumination 2013
Global Illumination is an international campaign run by the Estée Lauder Companies that aims to bring awareness and to raise funds for breast cancer research. The National Breast Cancer Foundation is very proud to be their Australian partner. The campaign is a unique initiative to put the spotlight on breast cancer awareness by illuminating buildings, monuments and landmarks around the world in a blaze of pink light!
Last year the National Breast Cancer Foundation lit 38 national landmarks pink including Parliament House in Canberra and the Storey Bridge in Brisbane. Internationally the campaign has lit the White House, the Empire State Building, Kensington Palace and Tokyo Tower among others.
Every October, thousands of individuals, families, schools and businesses across Australia focus on the impact of breast cancer and help raise funds for vital research into its prevention, detection and treatment. The campaign has raised over $3 million for breast cancer research.
We are seeking your support to ensure that this wonderful event continues to put the spotlight on breast cancer awareness and raises vital funds for breast cancer research. This October, five premium fundraising events are scheduled to take place in locations across Australia -Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Canberra.
